Did you post this thread in the wrong forum on porpoise?
He posted here just for the halibut.
This is the wrong plaice for that post.
Moving to In My Humble Opinion.
A friend of mine worked in one of the park restaurants at Sea World (San Diego) for some years. It was a “McJob.” Hard work, poor pay, shoveling fries at strangers all day long. Shrug. Beats sleeping on the parents’ couch…
(Fairly long walk from employee parking lot to actual work-site.)
Working conditions at Sea World? Do you mean for the naked apes that work there, or the dolphins that work there?
Might be a fun job for an elite few. Like the dolphin trainers maybe. I knew the head trainer and the curator at a different dolphin show place. I think that must have been a fun job. But even for them, it’s still damn hard and demanding work. But challenging and fun.
Read Lads Before The Wind by Karen Pryor. Tells about adventures in training dolphins, otters, and penguins, and of running and managing a sea park. (But doesn’t say anything much about the low-level wage slaves working the ticket booths or concessions.)
