Infomercial products that were worth the money

I bought a Micro Touch hair trimmer at Walgreens & it’s worth every penny I paid. It’s much better than regular barrel-style trimmers for ear & nose hair. AND, just like the commercial said, I can clean up the nape of my husband’s neck in a jiffy. Good product.

don’t bother

set of 3 differnt size ones=)

I thik I got mine at target=)

Thanks ever so much!

I’ve always been pretty kitchen illiterate. I’m getting better, what with the future Mr. SA being a great cook, and lots of time here at SDMB

We have a store in town called As Seen on TV. All that they sell is stuff from infomercials. You can go in and actually look at the stuff before you buy.

Pretty much all of it can be found at chain stores such as Walgreens and CVS as well. I don’t think I’ve gotten any of my infommercial stuff by mail.

Seconded. But no infomercial involved. I picked up one up for $2 at a garage sale. Best two bucks I ever spent.

Well, you could buy this one, or this one, instead of got this one. Both of the first 2 look bigger.

And I received the Foreman grill for Christmas a few years ago. I really like it, except I am wanting a bigger one now.

I got sucked into the Cher shampoo “system” back in the 80s. It smelled great, but it didn’t give me “Cher Hair.”

I bought off of QVC a buckwheat hull pillow and I have slept with it every night for at least 11 or 12 years.

Supports my head perfectly and I don’t have to mush it up or fold it in half.

I even bought a 40# bag of buckwheat hulls and made my own.

My kids turned out to have a dust might allergy and they now have buckwheat hull pillows.

The only draw back is that they cannot be washed or cannot get wet at all. It ruins the hulls as they expand. ( My son puked on one of my pillows and…well…I learned that way.) I just air them out outside if any of us have had a bout of germy illnesses.

I have to say it was money well spent.

I said this in another thread, but I absolutely* love*** Kaboom!** It really works just as well as the ads claim (I was able to clean a fairly dirty shower stall using Kaboom!**** and a paper towel).

I will admit to waiting to try it until it was available at Wal*Mart, though!

I got one of the glass cleaning devices from the seen on TV store and it works great. Nothing complex, just a handle with a swivel head and a more or less triangular pad with a slip on microfiber or mesh cover. Easy to get into corners and hard to reach places and does most cleanup with plain water.
