I don’t think anyone could find this more amusing than I, thanks to a real-life experience I had 5 years ago…
My Japanese go-kart mechanic and I had just watched Eddie Irvine testing the new Ferrari F1 race car in Mugello, Italy when, back at the hotel, my mechanic tells me that he believes he can imitate the sound of a Ferrari going around a racing circuit. Then he spends the next minute and a half shrieking and hacking (complete with spit during the downshifts). Amazingly, I was able to control bursting out laughing right in his face. All the more, he was 100% serious about it!!!
(You probably have to be an F1 fan, and then you really had to experience it to understand that this was the FUNNIEST thing to happen to me.) Thank you for a huge laugh!
I think it was damn funny to me because I had this instant vision of my brother and his buddy Rudy, sitting in the battered hulk of his ice racer, doing exactly that. At their present ages, which is well over twenty.
That can’t be the original, the whole sound clearly represents - in detail - cars going round and round a track, that’s why it sounds right played in an endless loop and why its so funny. The way its used on that site doesn’t work at all.
Ah, to each their own, but I honestly can’t see how anyone could NOT find that funny. And I honestly don’t know why it IS funny, to the people that find it funny.

Oops, sorry for the double post. I keep getting an error message telling me that there was no info in the document, and sometimes it goes through, and sometimes it doesn’t. Now, THERE’S an insanity test for you.
