Interceptor on Netflix

I found it funny how the guns in this movie actually ran out of ammo realistically to support the unrealistic plot issues.

There’s no way around it: Interceptor is a bad movie. I suppose the question is whether it is bad enough to be good. There were action sequences that I quite enjoyed, and - despite the critics - I thought the baddie was quite well-played and entertaining. The main protagonist, whose name I have forgotten, was more than competently-played but boringly written. The clunky exposition as to how someone who clearly grew up in Spain and speaks English as a second language has a native-English speaking Dad (and who has risen through the ranks of the US army) was grating, and far too much time is spent in the same set (the control room). Chris Hemsworth’s cameos felt forced, and did not match the tone of the rest of the film.

Something mindless to watch with a couple of beers on a Thursday evening? Sure, I’d recommend it for that.

Crossover with the “how woke are movies” thread: A lot of the IMDB pinhead reviews are calling the movie “woke” because…the bad guys are white.

Ladies and gentlemen: your number one streaming Netflix movie worldwide!

Does that mean that Die Hard and Lethal Weapon 1 & 2 are woke?

Logically, yes. But consider who makes those claims. I sincerely think they are ALL Russobots.

eta : even more so, because there was that one Asian dude and the antifa Black tech dude.
