International Dopers: would you rather see Kerry or Bush as our next president?

Kerry.

Here’s what the world thinks: http://www.betavote.com/. 87pc in favour of Kerry last time I looked.
Anyone but Bush for me

BORIS!

And on the US Question - Bush. Kerry really is a giant waste of space (and he has “American Hair” - something I have come to recognise as a really really bad thing (see also very skinny wife).

Kerry terrifies me.

Definitely Boris! The only politician in the cool-list (so said the papers yesterday, anyhow).

In the US? Kerry, definitely. Don’t know that much about him, and I agree about the American hair, but I cannot in my worst nightmare imagine that he could possibly be any worse than Bush. That man scares the bejeesus out of me. [sub]And practically everyone I know.[/sub]

I’m a moderate, but I’d prefer to see Boris as PM than our current incumbent.

I would pay twenty of Her Majesty’s Sterling Pounds to watch Boris address the UN.

And I’d match it. Christ, that would make for some funny TV.

Likewise!!

From this international punter’s point-of-view, Bush is just SCAREY!!!

Anyone but Bush, and his administration too.

You know, I haven’t decided yet.

And considering the fact that I’m also a U.S. citizen, and that I’m probably going to vote, it’s about time I made up my mind.

I think Bush is dragging the US into the mud.

Guantanamo Bay, Iraq, Abu Graib…

Since Kerry is the alternative, we can only hope for him.

Bush …or rather, anybody but Kerry.

Kerry …or rather, anybody but Bush. A second Bush term would alienate the American people from much of the rest of the world, on the grounds of “fool you once, shame on him - fool you twice…”

Sorry, try this: http://www.betavote.com/

“There’s an old saying in Tennessee – I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee – that says, fool me once, shame on – shame on you. Fool me – you can’t get fooled again.”

  • George W. Bush

(Sorry, I couldn’t resist.)

I’m highly suspicious of the polling data I found on the site Necro Romancer helpfully linked to. For starters, the poll was conducted among New Mexico adults. I assure you that that Libertarian candidate is not polling at anything like 5% nationally. I’m not sure Ralph Nader is even at that level anymore, and he has much higher name recognition.

Really? Coz I don’t see that at all. He would probably be thrilled to hear it though.

I’m a liberal but I’d probably vote for Boris if he had a chance! Funniest conservative there has ever been and probably will ever be.

I’m watching the first televised debate right now. They both strike me as something I can’t call them in this forum… what an uninspiring choice! However I’d have to go for Kerry on the anyone but Bush principle.

As I’m not an international doper, I’ll not submit my opinion. I will, however submit a comment just made by my fiancee:
“Remember the good old days when we had a candidate we actually wanted to
vote for?”
He’s got a point. Most of the people I know are voting for what they consider the better of two evils. In recent election years, no candidate has really stood out as the perfect future leader for our country.
