Morning everybody, thought this would be easier so I’ll give you a little bit of help.
Before the question, I said that I was in my mate’s garage - this was very important - if you find out who my mate is and look in his garage the rest is relatively easy. The clue was relating to the identity of my mate not the artist.

I presume you have solved the first part and have rushed off to search for the correct reference for the second part.
If not, may I make a suggestion:
Since you may not know me, there is very little information in my profile and Liverpool is a big place, you can deduce that in order for you to have any chance of working out who my mate is, there must be some clue or hint in a post on the SDMB. Thus, a search such as this might prove beneficial.
BTW: being a relative newbie, I don’t really know whether this link will work so please bear with me :o

Oh lordy. That was a hard one. Even with all the tips I still couldn’t find who he was talking to.
Ok, so your mate is guinnessguzzler. It took me a while to find his username since you spelled it guinessguzzler in your post. Kinda hard to notice the missing n.
After that I found his profile and his webpage. The garage was an easy find. 17th favorite album? ‘O’ by Damien Rice.
So far so good. I enter the Damien Rice Website and search for gigs. The Witness Festival seems like a good choice, within the time frame specified, big with lot’s of artists. Then came multiple window hell. As I tried to find who he was spotted with I opened searches and more searches, all to no avail…
I was about to give up when I tried Google on “before his set” “damien rice”.
He was seen talking to Badly Drawn Boy.
I’ll sit tight till monday for confirmation.

I found the album, and GuinnessGuzzler’s site (very nice, btw) - though I did have similar troubles to Chavardz with the missing ‘s’ - and tried to locate the information about who Rice was seen talking to. Somewhere along the way I got a lot of 404s, swore a bit, and went to bed.

I tried to find sumthin really hard… and failed. You guys have seem to have gotten very good at this, so it shouldn’t take long to solve.
How many campus does my uni have, and which one do I attend?
The University of Guadalajara (guessing) since it was the first one that came up in Google. You didn’t have many posts so there wasn’t anything that I could really comb through there. A search on your email found nothing. I am going back to hotmail to see if I can find a user profile.

he Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara has four campuses and if you are in the med school you will be studying at the Jalisco one.
Damn dorkus, that was really really fast… I can vouch that that’s the right answer, the campus is located in Guadalajara Jalisco, where my brother is in his second year of med-school.

I got lucky. The private school is what cinched it. When I was doing searches for universidad + mexico + med school that is the one that kept popping up. I am not 100% sure if I found all the campuses. There was one in San Antonio (Texas I assume) of all places so I won’t be posting until Macrophage says I got it all right.
