Internet Detective (Game)

Yeah, if the answer to the first question is a Bach Stradivarius trumpet then it was really too easy.
Gonna check back when I find the answer to the second question.

A hint…

For some reason my email address isn’t available through my portfolio. It might be helpful; it contains the following terms:

newenglandconservatory
ksmith

Try also to figure out who my teacher might be.

Between this and what you can find about me on the SDMB, it shouldn’t be too hard to start searching the Web. You are looking for one of two of my online bios (roughly a paragraph.) Thinks about what you know so far and try to figure out which group might have my bio on its website.

You can be found here

It wasn’t that difficult when I read the clues again. I lost quite some time looking around on the conservatory homepage for student information. But that turned out to be a dead end.

That’s correct. Pretty amazing that we can find something like that on the internet with such vague clues.

It definitely is. In my first question at the beginning of the thread people found out what number the train going past my house has. You really can find out a lot.
Anyways, I can’t think of a good question at the moment, so I nominate Earthpuppy to pose the next question as he gave me his turn before.

Hi everyone, just a note to let you know I’m back. I’ll be waiting for earthpuppy’s question.

Wow, , we let our IT department loose for 2 minutes, they mess up our Internet connection for a few hours and TWO questions have been solved!

When we have earthpuppy’s question, I am not letting them anywhere near my machine.
(BTW Chavardz sorry about you missing out on the free fondue - if you ask nicely, they may leave you some  )

Sorry it’s taken so long. I’m sooooooooooo busy today, I’ve just now had a chance to post. (They actually expect me to WORK here!) So here goes…

Name the title, artist and lyrics of a song released in 1972 that is heard often today at particular venues.

Bonus Question (since that one is not too hard):

What keeps my dog company?
p.s. BTW, missing_link, I am of the female persuasion.

Queen’s We Will Rock you? Lyrics can be found here. Well Crap that is 1977. I guess I’ll go back to looking.

You keep your dog company.

Keep looking…but you’ve got the right idea.

Regarding my dog, what keeps him company when we’re not at home?

This is tough because I don’t do the sport/stadium type of thing. The only other song I can think of would be “Take me out to the ballgame” But that was copyrighted in 1927, not 1972.

Ok, a few little hints…

British Artist

Child Porn

Died of Cancer

I may have misled you… he may not have died yet! I’ll check on that and get back to you.

I think he’s still alive.

Ouch, I am not going to search for anything that says child porn in it at work. I am stumped at the moment.

Hm, might it be “Rock and Roll” by Gary Glitter? Can’t post the lyrics, lest the mods unleash their wrath upon me, the lyrics being copyrighted and all.
Anyways, sorry bout the mixup, kinda hard to tell here. I shall refer to you with the right pronoun in the future

That’s it! Rock and Roll Part 2 to be exact. The lyrics are simply “Hey!”

Gary Glitter was arrested for having child pornography on his computer just a few years ago. He’s in exhile somewhere now.

Want to take a stab at the Bonus Question?

Not at the moment, should really go to sleep now, it’s already 2 a.m. here. If noone gets it till tomorrow I’ll give it a try

Can you give us some hints for the bonus question? If the answer can be found on the board then I am afraid I am not able to find it, as the hampsters are not very fast at the moment.
Maybe the SDMB hamsters keep your dog company?

Waiting waiting for a hint.

Still waiting.
