IE just will not work when running XP normally. In safemode, however, it works just fine. This is on top of the fact that I cannot access the System information from control panel or install a new printer in while booted normally either. I’ve tried to repair IE using the run command “sfc /scannow” and nothing happened. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hardware specs would be nice.
I’ve got a compaq notebook that did the same thing when a wireless card was inserted. IE worked fine without the card, however (but was useless).
It only did this with WinME. Since I put XP on it, it’s been fine.
Windows XP - 40 Gigs - 256 MB Ram… I really don’t know the rest, it’s my friends computer and it won’t let me access the System information or hardware configuration to get the rest of the info.
I’ve since realized that logging on to the guest account gives me access to the internet through IE. I tried to install the printer and it asked for an administrator log in. I used the main account for the system and the install stopped in its tracks. I have no idea what’s going on with this machine!
