Internet wayback machine question

Ok I used the Wayback machine to find the pages of my old eq guild and I saved them on my now-former PC but since that PC is no longer functional I don’t have them anymore And now I cant refind the pages using it … am I doing something wrong or do they remove pages?

Not an answer to you actual question, but authentically relevant to your underlying concern: do you have the hard drive of your now-former PC?

If so, you probably haven’t lost anything that was on that machine. You just need to buy a cheap external chassis and attach it (via USB, usually) to your current computer.

oh i found it there using the tortured way I found it the first time …which reminded me that most free hosted hobby websites back then were total psos

I’m not sure what connection this has to the arts, but it appears to be a factual question. Moving.

oh i thought becuase it was a website

Or finding something on the wayback machine is an art in and of itself!

They do remove pages, if the real owner of the web page requests it and can prove they’re the owner.

The easiest way to find old stuff is if you have an exact URL the now-gone page used to have. Searching for that exact URL will usually find it, if it’s still there in the archive.
