“Sloopy” suggests a woman who slouches and/or drools.

“Hang On Sloopy” is a mediocre, overplayed song made more reprehensible by its adoption by Ohio State football groupies. Still not as bad, though, as an even more mediocre, overplayed song inexplicably adopted by Red Sox fans (“Sweet Caroline”).

The only “choreography” or planning in it is that she in fact takes off her hat and lets her hair down when the lyrics are saying “Let your hair down”.

That’s a camera cut. It could have been done at any time. Her hair is down after that, but the hair up and hair down scenes could be totally separate films cut together.
