I have a feeling “C” is on his way out. As I said, he was bucking for VP. But scuttlebutt says he’s not well-liked by other directors. I don’t know why, but he does tend to get a little over-enthusiastic about things. I don’t know if he sees the mene, mene, tekel but it seems to be obvious to us proles.
Unfortunately, beer has too many carbohydrates for the time being.
BTW: I used to work for a government contractor. (Or two, or three…) I know how the contract thing goes.
My last apparently wasn’t accepted. If it shows up again, my apologies.
Johnny you and the Atkins thing is gonna put a crimp in our relationship if we ever get together because I really want to party with you. I wish I had your willpower because carnivore that I am, and Atkins follower that I want to be, I love bread. A lot. I wish I had your willpower.
I left the government because of my own ethics problems that I had with my IPT lead, who was very much like the management that you are talking about. I loved my job, and without shame, was the best in the country, and arguably, among colleagues around the world, at what I did. Now I’m a nobody. I went from a 600 cu. ft office to sharing a cubicle with someone as a nameless nobody and I couldn’t be happier. It was cool being “the man”, but I like the lack of political pressure. It has it’s downsides, but overall, sometimes change is good. Go with what makes you happy. You will be better off.
