Introducing my puppy!!!

I have avoided to much talking about my dog. You see, this is the first dog I have ever had as an adult, and I have become VERY, VERY attached to this little freak with four legs. So much so that most of my real life friends have not gotten sick of hearing about her antics. Without further adeiu…

Her name is Princess Peach, and she is a 6 month old Boston Terrier. My mother raises Boston’s and has three of her own. Last December her youngest, Bugsy, had a litter and we got second pick!

Peach is an interesting case in dogs. She acts more like a cat, than any dog I have ever met. She likes to swat at whatever you are teasing her with (hands, feet, her toys), and she hisses when she is upset. She dislikes it when she is moved in her sleep, so much so that she will growl at you in a VERY indignant way. She also is very much a daddy’s girl. When we got her it was supposed to be Jennifer’s (the wife) dog, but when we brought her home in early Janurary I was the one who spent LOTS of time with her because it was during my slow season at work.

So here she is! Hope everyone enjoys this foray into the truly Mundane and Pointless!

Awww.

I had a boston growing up. He was the fattest, laziest dog ever. Such a cutie.

Awww, precious angel! Puppies are wonderful.

What’s her favorite XBox game, and did you have to modify the controller to work with her paws?

Considering that her name is Princess Peach, wouldn’t it be more logical for her to like the Gamecube?

Very cute dog, very cute.

Oh no, she wouldn’t dare. Bill Gates is her Godfather!

More pics… I will stop being annoying soon.

This bone is bigger than my head.

She is seriously cute. Awww…puppy! Cute happy puppy!

Puppy pictures are never annoying. Every human with a soul loves puppies. Besides, the board has been disturbingly cat-heavy as of late…

Awwww… She’s so cute! I’ve wanted a Boston Terrier since I was a kid. Now I’m gonna hafta fight the urge to get one!

And the reason my user name is what it is: because I’m the proud owner of two (count 'em) Boston Terrors.

Congratulations. That’s a beauty you got there. I wanna play with her!

You’ve joined myself and BadNewsBaboon – as far as I know – as the Boston Owing Doper Club.

Enjoy. Please post lots of funny puppy stories.

Great, I’m making cutesy puppy talk noises at my monitor.

In the middle of work.

:dubious:

Seriously though, that is one cute puppy.

My favorite is her sleeping habits. She loves to sleep under the covers, except for her face. So I will walk into the bedroom and see just the edge of her nose sticking out. If you don’t walk by quietly she will growl at you. If you still aren’t quiet she says “Grrr… hurumph!” and crawls back under the covers with just her nose sticking out.

Indignent dog.

Sleeping Peach

I go to sleep with a Boston under each armpit, with their little chins nestled on my biceps. Much snoring ensues. (I’m assuming your baby girls snores like a fat old man – all Bostons sound like that.) When they get hot, the male will get up and lay down by my feet. The female will not move. She just pants, smashed up against me under the covers, refusing to move but too hot to sleep.

In the morning when I get up, she’ll still be under the covers and refuses to move until I throw the covers back and ask, “You going to work today?” Then she springs up out of bed and bounds downstairs to be let out for the day.

Bostons are pure joy in a snorty, furry package.

Sweet Christ on a cracker, I’m crying over here. She reminds me of my own BT, almost five years gone now. She’s a hoot! Thanks for sharing the pictures.

And you treat her nice, or I will personally come find you and do not nice things.
