Investigative Powers of the Minority Party

Hi All

Inspired (obviously) by current affairs, but looking for factual answers

What powers to conduct investigations into the activities of the President/White House/Agencies etc. does the minority party in Congress have, and to what extent can these be stymied by the majority party? So, for instance, I assume the majority party sets the agenda for various committees, but does that mean the minority party has no ability to look into activities?

I’m just curious to understand how this all works.

Minority parties in congress can conduct investigations, but normally with less teeth. I don’t believe that a minority party led congressional investigation has subpoena powers, but they can create legal and reputational risks, to those being investigated.
