Harry Dent seems to be a very polished, confident marketer with attention-grabbing book titles, but are his forecasts and predictions any better than average?
I know he’s made a few good calls…but I’m still waiting for the DJIA to hit 40,000… is he generally regarded as legit?
The track record of the investment vehicles of his is quite poor.

HARRY is only regarded as “legit” by the people who first buy his books or newsletters. Once you buy his books or follow his predictions, you no longer consider him “legit.”

In 2012 the “Dent Tactical Advantage ETF,” symbol DENT, was de-listed having consistently under-performed the market for three years while at the same time charging an egregiously high 1.65% management fee.
An ETF is a basket of stocks, so the ones he picked constantly failed. He can be safely ignored.
