iPhone and pictures: how to send pic as file?

When I take a picture on my iPhone and forward it to my desktop by e-mail, the pic is reproduced in the body of the e-mail. It doesn’t go as a file and I can’t figure out how to save it as a file on my desktop.

What am I doing wrong?

Rght click on the pic and it should give you an option to save as a file.

(Left) Click on the picture itself once. If you look closely, you should see tiny squares in the corners of the picture indicating it is the focus of the cursor. Now you can right-click and “save as picture…”

At least, that works with MS Outlook.

If it’s an iPhone picture in HEIC you can then open with MSPaint and “save as” JPG.

Thanks. Will try these suggestions.
