It can help you recover deleted files more than text messages.
Even if you select the option in your phone to delete all content it doesn’t really work like that. The data is still just marked as deleted on your drive so your phone will overwrite it. It’s done like this on Windows computers as well so you’re not sitting around waiting for a while just to delete one message.
Nothing really to worry about too much the data will eventually be overwritten properly. You can save yourself the bother and just don’t send anything you wouldn’t want people to see. And when your phone freaks out and deletes messages you wanted to keep this is way more of a blessing than a curse!
Is Sprint is your cellular provider, you can log onto sprint.com and read your text messages. I believe that this is only good for 60 days though.
