iPod touch question

My touch’s volume has been acting weird. Sometimes it won’t turn up and stays at the lowest volume, and sometimes it turns itself up to the highest volume. Why is it doing this, and how can I get it to stop?

Have you tried doing a factory default through iTunes?

And, while we’re on the Touch subject, anyone know if there is a way to get longer video names to display in the UI? If I’ve got a bunch of videos all starting with “Venture Bros. Season One”, it makes the rest of the name kind of irrelevant.

Try resetting the iPod by holding down both the sleep/wake button at the top and the home button until you see the Apple Logo. If it tells you to slide to power off, ignore it and keep holding the buttons. That just resets the device. If that does not resolve the issue you should then attempt the restore option in iTunes. If a restore doesn’t fix it, schedule and Apple Store appointment online. If it is under warranty and there is no accidental damage the store should be able to replace it for you after diagnosing a hardware problem.
