IQ test question driving me insane!

Technically ‘I don’t know’ was also correct.

Oh for crying out loud I clearly see a moose, right center of the picture facing right with his snout tilting down, but moose is not one of the choices. He’s contiguous with the upside down kangaroo BTW. Some IQ test…

Clearly, we’re all just smarter than the people who wrote the test.

Well, sure, Joey got it right…

Did he once bite your sister?

Probably. It’s a female walrus, so no tusks. Now, is that thing to the right of them a camel or a very small dinosaur?

I see a snake, and a crab, and a boot, and a dove, and a brontosaurus, and a manatee, and Lake Superior, and the Parthenon, and some eyes staring at me, and a fishhead with a fishing pole sticking out of its mouth, and an upside-down canoe, and a crown…

What, it’s not like Boggle?

 **Twickster **, the master word wizard.

what does visual interpretation have to do with I.Q.? Spatial relationships (like “this sphere is to this cube as this circle is to which square” sort of thing, or which pattern is the next in the series) maybe, but not this rorschack wannabe

I failed because I overthought it; I kept expecting a shape to emerge out of the whole, when what I was supposed to be looking for was one segment that was animal shaped. :frowning:

Stupid test. By the kangaroo’s tail and hump is a chocobo. The entire picture looks like a cow (made up of a lot of penises), and down at one corner is a dove that doubles as a crab, penguin (in flight), and a shrimp.

The two penises in the upper left corner are the cows nose-holes (sp?), and the crab’s claws are the teats.

The belly of the dove forms a Yoshi.

By the kangaroo’s toe is a cat.

I wonder why worm or litchen (sp?) isn’t one of the options.

Definitely a stubby ejuaclating (or peeing) penis in upper left corner.

I found pie, as in the symbol for it (I guess that someone else’s parthenon), and a sidewise letter r.
stoopit test. Now all I can do is look at that damned picture.

Is that up in the left corner, where the “w” is?

Speedy visual perception is clearly tied to intelligence. You can be smart without it, but it’s a strong indicator. Think puzzle games, like Tetris, Set, Minesweeper, Tangrams, or even simply a puzzle. Seeing the patterns means you can solve the problem faster.

I’m with you there, zelie.

In fact, since the heading in the OP’s link (“109 questions, 40 min”) implies that this is a standard time-limited test, I would claim that the 6th option, “I don’t know” is the optimal answer, as it frees up time to answer other questions. Unless the test-taker sees that kangaroo immediately (in which case “I don’t know” is not truthful), any response other than “I don’t know” is indicative of a lowered IQ, IMHO.

Do all the other questions at the site have the “I don’t know” option, LunaV? If so, the test could identify respondents with apparently super-genius-level IQs, each of whom knows nothing about anything. Rather like real life, I suppose…

Quite a few of them did, but not all. That answer was a big help in some of the math ones that I just knew I wouldn’t get. I was able to focus on some of the more thought-intensive questions from other sections because I knew I had some time, so it all balanced out…

I see a smooshed spider.
With a penis.

Your W is my pie symbol (my keyboard probably can make it, but I have no idea how to do it).

Well, it is Australia.
