Iran asks Interpol to issue 'red notice' for arrest of President Trump

Iran requested the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) to issue a “red notice” for the arrest of President Trump and 47 other U.S. officials on Tuesday due to the killing of top Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani last year.

Iranian judiciary spokesman Gholamhossein Esmaili labeled Trump as “the main culprit” in Soleimani’s killing, which he called a “terrorist crime,” the semiofficial Mehr News Agency reported, according to NPR. Other U.S. officials included in the request are U.S. military commanders and officials in the region and at the Pentagon.

The request represented the second time Iran has asked for assistance in arresting the president.

“The request to issue ‘Red Notice’ for 48 people involved in the assassination of Martyr Soleimani, including the U.S. president, as well as commanders and officials at the Pentagon and forces in the region, were handed over to Interpol,” Esmaili said during a briefing.

So, we just turn him over. Law and Order, right? International cooperation.

Problem solved. No more MAGAs, no trump in 2024, not having to drag us all thru dirt and mud for a hundred indictments.

Shouldn’t this be an “orange notice”?

Go to your room!

:frowning:

Yeah I should sleep now.

If Interpol grants this, basically that means trump cant leave the USA.

You don’t think he’d want to go to Iran to clear his name?

Ohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohplease…

This is why I suggested in one of the other threads that it’s too bad he can’t go visit Scotland. If he did, the authorities there could arrest him on 20 January after 12:01 p.m. and deport him to Iran.

Get in the (very long) line, guys!

It would be a historic moment if it were issues and Trump could not leave the country. Trump’s fall would be epic and I would love to see that. Too bad they issues it on 47 others as that makes it seem less serious.

As it stands right now there are no diplomatic relations between the US and Iran so the US has no obligation what so ever (and the other way around) to consider any requests. Also there are no direct flights and no official currency conversion. Everything has to go through a different nation. It’s like two people pretending the other does not exist.

I love my country but, even I have to admit that, if Interpol issued warrants for everyone in this country who ever ordered or was involved in assassinations, coups, or any other crimes against persons or the governments of foreign nations, you could wallpaper your house with them. LOL

True. But say- Scotland e.g. can indeed, honor the Red Notice and hand trump over to Interpol.

If Iran gets this notice, it basically means international travel for trump is a thing of the past.

Yes, I was being facetious when i suggested the USA turn him over.

Scotland locked down hard and may not let him (or anyone) in after he leaves office.

Just have him buy a small island in the Bahamas. The USA can declare it the Protectorate of Trumpland, then insist that Trump go there and never leave it again upon pain of deportation to … someplace.

For some reason it permanently lacks internet service.

He can be King of all he surveys and the rest of humanity is rid of him and his bloviations.

Did you see those two letters “e.g”?

Scotland, France, Zambia, whatever.

I’m just saying Scotland is unlikely to be one of them.

They publicly told Trump that he could not visit Scotland at this time.

I missed that, good for them.

Well, that list show the US as an Interpol member state. So, if he is apprehended in the US, they could turn him over.

The person you want to talk to is Nicola Sturgeon. Ask her to issue an invitation to the Orange Outang to visit Caledonia, and to promise extra-strong security.
