I believe I read about this sect in Sagan’s “Demon Haunted World” as some example of something or other, but I can’t recall the name for the life of me. They’re a small enclave of a religion in Iran that have a tradition that leans towards a respect of evil and devil worship. What’s the name of this sect? It may be a branch of a larger religion, i.e. Islam.
And no, I’m not thinking of Zoroastrianism nor Ba’hai.
Much thanks appreciated.
You’re probably thinking of the Yezidis. A quick search turned up this article, which has an axe to grind re: Zoroastrianism, butt does seem to contain at least some factual information. I’m sure a more thorough search will yield more.

Yezidis they are. Thanks guys.
Sorry, but that was a bit of a crappy answer but I don’t know much about them beyond what you can find on the Internet. Apparently they’re an offshoot of Zoroastrianism that worshps Lucifer in the form of a peacock, but they don’t think he’s evil, or don’t believe in evil perhaps.
