About a month ago the media focused on the weather as a major reason the US was pushing for a war earlier rather than later. I assumed that the reason we wouldn’t extend deadlines as little as 30 days was because of the weather. I haven’t really heard the US use this as an argument against delay and was wondering why. It seems perfectly legit to say “Look we’ve given him 12 years and while another token 30 days would be nice, it will lead to X more deaths because of the heat.” Has the US revealed any casualty estimates based on the timing of the operation?
