I’m trying to watch this but jeez, I can hardly keep up with the rules!!
I had hopes for something at least remotely like the best parts of Iron Chef, but this bargain basement version is grim, unpleasant, and absolutely no fun.
I’m keeping with it though…
Seems straightforward to me.
Each show is two parts. Part One is a MasterChef / Guy’s Grocery Games / Pretty Much Every Other Food Competion Show Out There Except Maybe For Iron Chef Itself And Hell’s Kitchen-style competition where everybody competes against each other, followed by a traditional Iron Chef “battle” between the part one “loser” and someone chosen by the part one “winner,” with that battle’s loser being eliminated.
I’m pretty much waiting for the “gauntlet” - supposedly, the eventual winner has to face three current Iron Chefs in turn.
It’s more like Chopped than Iron Chef. I’m also waiting for the Iron Chefs at the end. If they have it on again, I won’t bother with this preliminary part.
I’m disappointed. Bring back Iron Chef!!
I feel the show is rigged. Chef Izard had more negative remarks on her dishes than the other chefs, yet she still kept advancing. One episode they complained about her plating being boring etc, yet she scored high on plating. I just feel that they pick who is going to who before the show starts.
Even the finale felt rigged. Booooo!
Bring back Takeshi Kaga and the giggly japanese actress judge. Now that was a food spectacle!
