Does prefacing the cliche with “Obligatory” lessen the sentence?
The natural response to an inane pitting is humor, be it bad or good. A well-thought out, viable Pit Rant will generate more positive responses than a lame waste of bandwidth. Human nature will inevitably out over discretion.
This post has been graped by the Grapist!
Quite the opposite.
Haj
You could just not rant about it, you know. Yeah, keep it bottled up inside. Then one day someone cuts you off in traffic while calling you a :wally and giving you the finger. You can’t take it anymore, and you go home and cry. Or you pull out an uzi and shoot 20 people before being chased by cops all over the city and eventually driving off a bridge.
Seriously, what’s the worst that can happen?
Um, wrong fucking color.
Did that come across as condescending, ironic, or just rude?
Band name!
I’m color blind, you insensitve fascist!
I guess that answers my question. Just rude.
Well, at least now we know who wasn’t the Grapist.
It’s tough when you lack the competence to even make a good Grapist.
“I was gonna do that”
or
“Dang, you beat me to it”
or
“Hi OPAL!”
or
“This again? When’re the mods gonna lock this one down?”
etc.
Sorry, had to do all that.
We knew somebody was going to do it.
Not only did we know somebody was going to do it, we had a pretty good idea who would do it too.

Me personally, I like all the stuff ranted about in this rant and the mini rants that followed it. I think it makes the board more interesting and colorful. Even if it’s been done 100 times I still get a chuckle out of it. Maybe I just havent been here long enough to get tired of it yet.
I mean, I’m all for some new material here, but “Band Name” and “Hi Opal” still get me every time. As for ironic first replies, my first thought is “I wish I could have gotten here sooner so I could have said that”!
I always miss all the fun…
I can’t tell if you’re being ironic or stupid.
Maybe it’s your username that’s causing the trouble.
Let’s add another, shall we?
–The everpresent joke of ‘fucking’ as an adjective when it was intended to be an expletive.
Poster A: FUCKING BABY!!!
Poster B: My my, what a disturbing mental image.
Me: Get a new joke.
Speaking of stupid, the way you arranged that post, it’s impossible to tell whether you are addressing me or Lord Ashtar.
Why do you hate America?
