Yeouch. It seemed like he was close to being really angry there a couple of times early ons. But then my Dad also had problems with alcoholism and drunk old men make me very uncomfortable.

I surfed from Conan and Matt McConaughey talking about how he would fight a bear (once it became clear that Conan’s bear was not comeing out) and saw HST on Charlie Rose. He wasn’t drunk at all there.

I recently saw Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas for the first time, and after I seeing Hunter S. Thompson, I think Johnny Depp did a pretty good job.
Holy crap! That guy was BLASTED. He couldn’t even find the couch. I loved how he still had a drink in his hand as he was about to walk out on stage, and he had to hand it to the crew guy. Conan seemed pretty pissed off about the whole thing.
yeah, he looked good and pissed, but as a testament to conan(and why he’s my favorite late night guy) he did a great job of not embarassing the guy, keeping a sense of humor about it and in general keeping the shit together
OMG, that was great. Thompson was ripped, but he kept it together pretty well for a guy who must be running on about a dozen frayed synapses. Thank you, kefka, for the heads-up!
