The local light jazz radio station here in Cleveland, The Wave 107.3 FM, has Al Roker doing the local weather in short segments every weekday. Is he doing this in any other American media market(s)? I’d have thought he’d be too busy with that morning TV show…
I don’t know if you were living in Cleveland then, but Al used to be the weatherman on WKYC-TV Channel 3 (NBC station, for those not familiar with Northeast Ohio). So, in a way, he’s returned to his roots (or at least to one of the stops on his route to netwoek prominence).
