Is anticipation better?

Which do you think is better, the anticipation for something or the thing itself?

I always remember before vacations I would get so psyched, but when the vacation started, while it was fun, the emotions generated by the vacation itself paled in comparison to the emotions spurred by the anticipation.

So what do you think? Is anticipation where the fun is really at?

That could be applied to a number of situations

I would say that anticipation heightens the experience for me, at least. You know what I’m talking about.

Heinz ketchup?

Damn, figured out again.

More like pouring ketchup on Carly Simon. Grrrrrowl!

Carly Simon tastes like chicken.

I thought she tasted kind of fishy… :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually, the anticipation is good, but what would it be without the end event? Can you imagine being in a state of anticipation, and then not getting anything in the end?

Well, actually, I guess I can. Sounds like some of my dates.

Is anticipation better than the actual event? Well, it depends on the event. If it’s better than anticipated, the event can very well be better than the anticipation. If it’s not as good as expected, the anticipation was probably the better part.

Anticipation, hands down.

in most cases, anticipation is better
but sometimes, whatever you’re waiting for it just too good!
