I am a traditional and pro-life Catholic, who assents to everything the Church believes and teaches. And I’ve done volunteer outreach to the homeless and to immigrants.

By “traditional”, would that be the pre-Vatican II type of traditional Catholic? Just curious.

I really appreciate what you’ve tried to do, and only wish the moderators might have been a little more proactive. But it is what it is.

Most people know the rules of this message board and usually follow them. Moderators are volunteers and actually have lives outside of message boards, so if you don’t receive a response immediately, it’s probably because we’re doing something in meatspace. I already moderated this thread once and I did so without anyone reporting it, so I think I’ve been plenty proactive, thanks.

Since you’ve asked, the best way to deal with people being antagonistic toward you is to ignore them and keep the thread on topic. When most people who respond to your posts do so in a certain negative way, it’s indicative that you aren’t coming off well. They will be moderated accordingly, but you will probably continue to have problems until you adjust your posting style. Witnessing, in particular, is not well received here, in fact, threads that are explicitly about witnessing are typically moved to the Pit. I don’t think this thread warrants such a move, but some of your posts are definitely skirting the line, and I am 99% confident that’s why you’re getting negative feedback. Something to consider for future postings, if you do decide to stay.
