An enormous “whoosh” is heard over Scott’s head. He hops backwards, hopping it is not one of those flying creatures.
:smack: It’s been a while.

I wonder if there’s going to be elements from SH3 in it. It would be really cool to see the lead character hiss, “Sexy!” and blast the monsters with killer eye beams.
Nono. I’m really hoping for Daliah at her best…
“It was foretold… By gyromancy!”
I rented Silent Hill.
Once.
I must’ve been… 15 maybe?
Played it at night. Alone. In the basement.
I made it to the school(?) and went in to some… Parallel place… Where the phone rang and the daughter’s voice was on the other side. That scared me enough that I put down the controller and walked away… Something I’ve never, ever done before (or afteR)
I don’t think any movie, book or video game has induced the same fear that Silent Hill did.
I can’t wait to see this movie. The trailer looks awesome… you forgot to mention grates and I could’ve sworn I heard some radio static in there.
Never? Good god, some of us have been expecting this for years!
How much of the dialog consists of “Have you seen my little girl? Short, black hair. Just turned seven.”
I don’t know if it’s possible for a movie to be as scary as the game. I refused to play it if I was alone at home at night.
I swear I read the thread before I posted. Just not as closely as I thought.
Since it’s the “mother” in this case, then they can’t have the Good+ ending in which Harry and Cybil “adopt” the infant, who will then become Heather of SH3
I don’t like how they’ve altered the plot - a mother/daughter relationship is very different from father/daughter, or at least I thought that to be a specific point of the first game. It puts a whole different take on the protagonist.
More griping: Also, is it just me or does Pyramid Head have an apron made of human skin for some reason? And there’s too. many. freaking. people. Dahlia looks a little too… wild.
But that said, I still think there’s a lot of potential (particularly with the visuals, which look spot on) and I hope it turns out that I’m just nitpicking. I have the Halo of the Sun tattooed quite prominently on my body, if that tells you anything about how deeply I feel about SH.
I wonder if they’ll keep in the street name references?
I’m looking forward to it. It looks light it might be reasonably eerie, and it’s the type of game I’d play if I could maneuver through the levels (I’m crap at it, sadly). It doesn’t hurt that the daughter is one of my favorite child stars too, one who has already established herself as being able to play “that sort of creepy kid” in both Kingdom Hospital and Smallville.
