I guess warning you what was coming wasn’t enough? OK, then, point taken.
I do not see where you wrote "BTW, this may crash your browser. " Or “You’re gonna see about 50 popup windows.”
Be more considerate of other people, would ya?
Right, I expected something like a YouTube clip. Silly, maybe even a little disturbing, but nothing that would cause my Security progams a heart attack.
Our Rules have always (I thought) been pretty clear about what links are permitted here and what are not. However, they have now been amended:
Note, the new wording is in blue and bold, and is from this Rule.
The easiest way to comply is to de-link the url, or using a two-click rule.
Saying that a link goes to one place when, in fact, it goes elsewhere, is basic jerkhood and prohibited under our Rules. If you find examples of such, please hit the REPORT button (cute li’l exclamation point in red triangle in upper right corner of post) and let a moderator know.
You already had a standing rule against those “scare” type sites, didn’t you? The ones that are innocuous at first then have some “boo!” type picture and sound.
BTW, those weren’t technically multiple pop-ups, they were notification boxes.
I just reported someone calling another member an “ass” with that.
Thanks!
Uh, just a suggestion: those who really hate rickrolling might want to avoid clicking on every Featured Video on YouTube today (April 1st).
