I’m posting this question with the expectation that very few, if anyone, will answer this. This book series is a science fiction classic in the making. The setting is the far future, 29,000 in the future. I won’t go into detail because you would do better to go to a website called Lexicanum 40k and typing in “The Horus Heresy” if you’re interested in discovering a piece of literary magic. Put simply, it can best be described as grimdark, dystopian, far future military science fiction.
If you haven’t heard of it and love reading that kind of thing then, seriously, look this up; however, I’d be really interested to hear from anyone out there who’s ‘in the know’ about this series so that we could exchange opinions on the finer points of the series so far (book number 39 in the series has just been released).
