During the early aftermath of the WTC attack, news reports told of victims (1,500?) being evacuated to Liberty Island (home of the SoL) for treatment.
Haven’t heard a peep about Liberty Island (nor seen a frame of footage) since.
What gives?
It was actually Liberty State Park, which is in New Jersey. It’s not the island with the statue.
