Is being Autistic and being high on THC the same as being a Nuero Typical in their normal state?

Im autistic, im wondering if this high i feel right now is how neuro typical people always feel in their normal state,(Neuro Typical= non autistic person.

im talking more, laugh more, smile, and have emotion, and think more, and am much more mental energetic.

Fascinating question, and back in the days when I used to inhale THC, I often wondered the same thing, except the other way around: I wondered if it was the way autistic (or ADD, or otherwise non-neurotypical) people felt.

We’ll assume that your THC high was a result of involuntarily breathing in secondhand smoke, in this case.

Short answer is that THC affects everyone differently. And there are also different kinds of THC-containing plants which produce different kinds of emotional and intellectual states.

I would say no. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t make you better.

I would not be surprised if THC was a somewhat effective treatment: it is neuroprotective and a dissociative. Autism is often thought of as involving damaged neurons and a lack of filter from the outside world.

And, seeing as it’s relatively rarely used in research, it makes sense that people had not stumbled upon this before.

Are you certain you’re autistic? You don’t sound autistic.

Generally, people who don’t like socializing and are emotional inhibited can feel “normal” when they use substances such as alcohol and marijuana. I’ve read that many people who seek help for substance abuse problems end up being diagnosed with personality disorders associated with blunt affect, poor social report, and anxiety.

World, I just moved another post of yours, the same as the OP, to the IMHO forum, but closed it because it was apparently talking about the current use of illegal drugs, which is against our rules:

World, please read the rules and FAQs before posting. You may ask a more general question on the neurological effects of THC in GQ. However, please do not discuss current use of illegal drugs.
