Is Czarcasm allowed to "senior moderate"?

I see Czarcasm getting accused of junior moderating countless times, but I was wondering, since he was a moderator, is he allowed to junior moderate, or “senior moderate” (as I like to call it)?

As a side question for other senior moderators, what made you quit? Why did you give up the power of moderation?

… have you seen how people treat moderators here? :dubious:

That’s not a thing. Czarcasm is no longer a moderator, so he’s not allowed to represent himself as a moderator. Doesn’t matter if you’re a retired moderator of if you never were one- doing that is junior moderating.

they deserve it

Actually, I don’t know if it’s my lack of experience on the board or not, but I see moderators here for the most part respected and treated well.

I honestly think they don’t, if they are really treated like “that”. I think the quality of the moderation here is great, and most moderators behave very professionally hand even take the time to explain why they took they action they did whenever someone complains about them in ATMB. I’ve heard that most boards aren’t like this, and moderators there usually abuse their power.

In fact, excellent moderation is one of the reasons I stick around on this board.

It’s a fair cop, but society is to blame.

And that’s why you banned the entire board?

I’m hoping you next ask innocently about avatars.

No one is allowed to “junior mod” here. Why not just report the posts you think fall in that category, and if no action is taken, ask a mod why or start a thread in this forum about that particular post.

I think you’re misunderstanding the OP. He/she is not accusing Czarcasm of junior modding, just that he’s seen several others doing so.

Wouldn’t Czarcasm et. al. be considered Moderators Emeritus instead of Junior Mods?

Hell no. The number of unsubstantiated “junior mod” accusations would triple. If newbies don’t know that I modded for over ten years that’s just fine and/or dandy with me.

I am a big fan of the phrase “senior moderating”.

Would that be like “senior moments”?

Don’t tell me how to act, whippersnapper.

I was thinking along the lines of senior judges and the PGA Senior Tour, but yeah, that works.

I guess that “Depends” …
