I don’t know if this holds true for everyone, but many straight guys are not necessarily able (or willing) to judge handsomeness in other males. So for some of us who are straight males, it is relevant in that Daniel Craig is so handsome that even we, who are normally blind to such things, can recognize what he’s got going for him.
I assume that the same sort of idea is in effect in the other threads you’ve seen where people have volunteered their sex and orientation.

So then does it make someone like Daniel Craig even more attractive when straight guys think he’s handsome too? Also is it b/c he’s seen as rugged, manly and plays James Bond that it’s “safer” for straight guys to admit that he’s handsome?
I agree with you on this. Sometimes, sexual preference is a factor. For instance, I have a sister who is very much a lesbian, but says any time Jimmy Smits approached her and asked for some “sack time”, she’d have to give it to him. For me, as a straight woman, it would be Jodie Foster.
In fact, over the years I’ve been around these here boards, there have been a number of threads on who you’d be willing to “switch hit” for.

Well, I’m a queer guy with a self-destructive fetish for lesbian-looking lesbians. So, from my perspective, reading that a self-identified lesbian would consider a man gets me all hot and bothered. I appreciate the substantial amount of gratification I get from those kinds of posts.
