Is DeLay going down?

Bumping this thread for the sheer schadenfreude of seeing DeLay go down.

Holy cow, that took longer than I thought.

AHHH!!! Zombie Tom DeLay!

I know I’d run.

:Campaiiiiignnnnnnnnnsssss:

Sumbitch isn’t going to prison.

He might. Nobody afraid of him any more. Sure as hell, nobody loved him, ever. Good bet that the guys who used to stand in line to kiss his ass, maybe they take his calls, maybe they don’t. He can’t do anything for them, leads to memory issues.

Whatever. Maybe Gov Goodhair pardons him, maybe he goes to Club Fed where the hard time is macrame class.

No, wait, that’s a state rap! So, he would go to a State of Texas prison. Maybe there is a God…

He walked on a pocket change $10,000 bond. Dude will never wear prison clothes.

Eight years and $10 million in, he still hasn’t been locked up. For a three-year sentence.

Seems like he could have pled guilty and been out by now.

Boy’s gonna have a longer career as a defendant than as a legislator.

How’s he gonna skip bail, too easily recognized. Even in disguise, he walks past a flower shop, they all die, people notice shit like that.

Forget prison. He has to live (and die) with his legacy.

I don’t understand the bump. Did anything recent happen, or did you just find this thread and post a 2011 article? Do we just point and laugh or did something go over my head?

Uh, the recent thing that happened was that I saw this link elsewhere, and I didn’t notice the date. Google news shows a couple of other recent articles about his going to prison, both of which link back to Huffpost. Somehow this article surfaced its head last week, and I and a few other chuckleheads didn’t realize how old it was.

My bad.

Well, if you’re looking for recent news on DeLay, the most recent I can find is from October 2012, when his attorneys, appealing his case, were about to present oral arguments.

Nothing since then – well, appellate courts often issue no ruling until many months after oral argument.
