Yes, it is.
How about 3?
Now you’re being silly.
Wait, what? Willis was not known as an action star, but why would he have been known as “Box office poison”?
To that point he hadn’t really BEEN in many movies, not as a lead, anyway. “Sunset” did very poorly, but “Blind Date” did well for a cheap little comedy… and those were all the movies he had ever starred in.
His charisma and popularity in Moonlighting was, in 1988, what he was overwhelmingly known for.
Sure he was. In this original trailer they literally use his name on screen before they show you the title.
That’s a great trailer. Whoever cut it really had an ear for quotable lines. Mentions Christmas three or four times, too.
Including one I think wasn’t in the final cut - the one about New Jersey.
I’m pretty sure - I just watched it. Still not a Christmas movie!
You’re right. It’s not a Christmas movie.
It’s THE Christmas movie.
You got that right. If told I can choose only one Christmas movie to watch, it’s that one. With Lethal Weapon a close second.
But is it a Christmas trailer?
That’s not really true. No. 1 with me is actually It’s a Wonderful Life, followed closely by those two.
Excellent good-guys-versus-bad-guys action movie. I love it.
If it were a Christmas movie I wouldn’t watch it.
I watched White Christmas over the break, for the first time, and it’s even less of a Christmas movie than Holiday inn (or Die Hard). Other than the benefit performance taking place on Christmas Eve, there’s absolutely no connection ti Christmas.
I’m beginning to lose faith in Hollywood.
As has been a yearly tradition I am bumping this thread for the holidays…Happy Holidays!
After several hours of hallmark movies, die hard is a great holiday palate cleanser.
It simply would not be Christmas without the first two Die Hard movies. Or Lethal Weapon.
Not a Christmas movie this year anymore than last year.
Try telling my wife that. On the plus side, at least that means we get to watch it at least once a year now.
Just like everything else, Christmas is being foisted upon us before its time. It is my opinion that this thread should not be bumped anytime before Thanksgiving.
Yeah but that alternate ending to “Big”, though…
