Over the last few weeks, I’ve noticed that all the commercials for Dodge cars end with an image of a black flag with two red stripes on it. I don’t recognize this flag from anywhere, so I’m wondering if this is going to be the new logo for Dodge. For those who haven’t heard, Chrysler is going to spin off Ram as its own brand, and presumably the ram’s head logo will go with Ram, so I imagine that Dodge is going to need a new logo soon. Does anyone know anything about the flag in question?
If you go to www.dodge.com the new logo is there, so I’d say, yes, Dodge has a new logo.
It’s apparently an homage to the stripes on the SRT.
It’s even in their favicon.
To me, it looks like they’re trying to be Dodge II: Electric Boogaloo.
They’ve been advertising “Ram trucks” without saying the word “Dodge” for some time now - the spinoff has happened, and yes, they have the ram’s head logo. So Dodge DID need a new logo. If you look at the bottom of that Dodge page, you can see Chrysler’s new lineup of divisions, with their respective web pages - Ram, Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Mopar and Gem, although the Dodge graphic at the bottom of the page doesn’t have the two stripes yet. And it doesn’t say “Fiat” anywhere, of course. Gem needs a logo that’s less fussy. And I wasn’t aware that Chrysler was selling street-legal golf carts.
I don’t think you’ll see a Fiat button any time soon. I’d expect Chrysler to downplay its new foreign ownership as much as possible.
Yikes! And I thought the Geo Metro looked like a golf cart! I hope nobody tries to drive that thing on the freeway.
Not allowed, at least in its current form. The Gem is a Neighborhood Electric Vehicle. Top speed of 25 mph, you are allowed to drive it on city streets. Some NEV type vehicles are capable of about 40-45 mph.
