Well, just one group of people that would do it are those who know that they wouldn’t pass the background check you mention (or have taken it and failed.)
Sounds like a very different German that the ones I know and I have been living there for over 50 years, perhaps she came over from the East immediately after the fall of the Berlin Wall? There was a minority that had strange ideas back then, but they learnt quickly not to believe TV commercials.
You mean the crossing the desert part that seems to have played a role in the child’s death? Yeah, I’m going to go ahead and be “callous” and say that was a bad decision.
I would say the truth that I’m interested in telling comes from a place of conservatism, which includes the rule of law.
I could tell you all about how Obama was mischaracterized when he said, “You didn’t build that.” He meant the preceding statement about infrastructure, not that the government had a majority stake in businesses supported by that infrastructure.
Or how Sadiq Khan’s infamous “part and parcel” statement was simply about being prepared for the worst, not that we should just accept terror attacks as unavoidable.
As a conservative though, inaccuracies against the right (or by the left), are usually what raise my hackles, so I’m often telling the truth from a conservative point of view. Everybody, for the most part, does this. Many people will eviscerate Trump for his false statements, but have nothing to really say about falsehoods on their own side. The passion they have for the truth only bubbles to the surface if the issue is angled a certain way.
There were televisions in East Germany?
Oh, horse shit is all that is. Look at what’s happening with the rule of law in the US to “born and bred” Americans. You say you want people to comply with the law, but when people comply with the law and still get killed by the authorities, what then?
Dumbfuck.
This is the pit, after all. I cannot reasonably expect a useful response. The benefit, however, to a loose ruleset on this sort of thing, is that it encourages more people to just vent their displeasure outright, as opposed to the necessity of crafting a carefully-worded troll response that might pass the sniff test more rigorous moderation would require.
Oh, it was useful. But then, you’re a dumbfuck.
Nineteen Eighty-four style where you can’t turn them off and the TV watches you.
Both. They like having the power to fuck with people and get away with it. Professional bullies I guess.
And this.
Take your “both sides” shit and shove it up your ass.
And ,…
Another child died in custody today, on Christmas.
Died while Trump whined about being “alone” in a mansion surrounded by servants bringing him plentiful food and drink, while top-of-the-line medical personnel stand by to attend his every need.
Yeah, both sides misrepresent stories and bend the truth. I mean, if you’re suggesting one side or the other is always 100% truthful all the time and never skews information, I don’t know what to tell you. Maybe that you’re living in the ultimate echo chamber.
I missed where anyone suggested anything of the sort. I’m sure you can point me to the posts where this is the case, though.
I posted about how inaccuracies from the left are what I usually respond to, but pointed out that I’ll defend Obama and Khan from inaccurate claims from the right, and the response was to take my “both sides” crap and shove it.
What am I supposed to take from that other than he thinks “both sides say inaccurate things” is a bogus claim?
If that’s not his message then I don’t know what the heck he’s talking about. Either he responded to the wrong post or he’s simply pretending I wrote something else. Which may not be too far-fetched. Some people do seem to read into a post something that isn’t there, then get angry about it.
Does anyone know how these immigrants are processed when taken into US custody? I would think that each individual or family would be questioned about name, country of origin, reason for asylum etc (like Ellis Island). So I would think that some US official would have seen/processed this little girl & seen that she was in distress. But I may be wrong…
So, Central America is overpopulated and our current administration is addressing the issue?
