just (one minute ago) re-registered the other two #'s, one at a time, and I got the email confirm in about five seconds.

AR has a “do not call list” but there is a fee.
I think California is one of the states that’ll automatically move you to the new Do Not Call list.
Tried clicking on the confirmation links today and they worked just fine.
I know it doesn’t go into effect until October, but it’s being publicized now and it’s fresh in my mind, so now’s the time to do it.
I will admit that the New York state do not call registry works very well, but a national one makes it cheaper and easier for all involved, and takes care of those states that hadn’t gotten around to passing their own laws yet. (Especially if the legislators were under pressure by telemarketers not to pass one.)
I just entered, and got my confirmation e-mail in about 30 seconds.

i registered about 6 pm on friday night, and my email wasn’t here until this morning (sunday).
Extra levels of protection, my friend. Kind of like using two different virus scanners – what gets through one, is unlikely to get through both.
Which reminds me…I need to sign up for the CA list, once I’m done registering on the national one.

It is definitely working now, they were just EXTREMELY busy for the first 48 hours.
