Is Fox News really all that bad?

More evidence they are:

Which is a bit odd, as Fox was so quick to call Arizona for Biden, IIRC.

What happened is that most of the right wing sources condemned that early call, and FOX news ended up not supporting the editors and reporters that stood by that early call.

The end result was for FOX viewers to blame the reporters and then more innuendo and dismissal for that early call has taken place and more supporters of the “steal” continue to spew their lies on FOX shows.

Were there death threats too? Wouldn’t surprise me.

That is one moment in Fox News history. And they were reporting the results the same as they report the weather.

Since then though, FOX has worked diligently at casting doubt about the election.

I considered putting this in the “M’f-ers in the News” thread, but this time the m’f-ers are the news

As you may know, a 49-year old mentally ill homeless man set fire to Fox network’s Christmas tree. Damages were estimated at $500k, no injuries, perpetrator released without bail because there were no injuries and it wasn’t a hate crime.

Fox is going ape calling it a hate crime, war on Christmas/America/Fox.

What they won’t discuss is mental health and homelessness as a crisis of anything other than personal responsibility.

What I have been looking for in vain is how someone from Hawaii with no connection to NYC came to be there. Hawaii famously practices the airline version of “greyhound therapy” for mainlanders who wind up on the streets (help going back home), but do they do this for Hawaiian-born residents too? No word on even this aspect of the bigger story.

Stephen Colbert covered it on The Late Show. He showed a bunch of clips. One was of that Ainsley (?) woman who sits between Doucey and Kilmeade calling Christmas trees important to Hanukhah.

“Hanukkah is just the Jewish part of Christmas!”

A Christmas tree is a symbol. It’s a symbol of a specific culture. It’s a symbol of a much-loved tradition that’s hundreds of years old. Above all, it’s a symbol of a religion, the world’s largest. Torching Christmas trees is an attack on Christianity. pic.twitter.com/enFRpnT0mQ

Conservatives are always the real victims.

It looks like the son of Mike Wallace has jumped ship, so, howsoever bad Fox News has been, they now have significantly less non-badness.

Not just jumping ship, but he’s going to the hated-by-Fox CNN (to host a show on their new streaming service).

“Fox News unveiled a new motto today, replacing ‘fair and balanced’ with ‘all right all the time’.”

Yes, it’s a symbol of pagan Germanic culture. You know who else was into pagan Germanic culture?

Prince Albert.

Did he ever get out of that can?

I really didn’t watch much of him. Was he really a good interviewer?

I haven’t really watched him on Fox, but my understanding is that he has been considered to be one of the only journalists on Fox who would actually ask tough questions of his interview subjects.

I know “propaganda network” was already part of the vernacular, but can anyone even doubt otherwise now? The remaining interviewers are all just there to lay the ball up.

I’m sure even Fox fans would agree, were it not for the connotations of the word “propaganda”. They’d agree that Fox is first and foremost about giving support to republicans, and Wallace should not be there because he asks mean questions.

Jan 6, you have Donnie Jr, Hannity, Kilmeade, and Ingraham all texting Meadows asking him to help get the rioters to stop. This is breaking news and not a peep on the Fox “news” website. Plus, since 1/6/21, all those Fox hypocrites now say that day was just a walk in the park.

Later that day, Ingraham was blaming antifa.
