They more than make up for it with Hume and Krauthammer.
I’d put the over/under at about two hours before it’s “RIGGED SYSTEM?”
As of 3:15 it’s been changed to:
“IN THE CLEAR: FBI will not push for criminal charges over Clinton’s ‘extremely careless’ email use”
Someone changed “won’t recommend” to “will not push” (supporting the Republican talking point of a rigged system)) and added “criminal” (to reinforce the connection to the word). Dropped “handling of sensitive” to “email use” (changed to active voice to make a stronger impact). In pushing an agenda, I’m not sure I would have dropped “despite.”
It keeps getting better as they work on it. “In the clear” has now been dropped, presumably because someone at Fox decided it carries too much of an implication of innocence. There’s also a picture of Hillary looking dour and hapless, as if she was just caught molesting a sheep. But the best part is the related stories they’ve now cobbled together:
[ul]
[li]“Obama joins Clinton at campaign event, touting her experience and judgement” (emphasis mine)[/li][/ul]
[ul]
[li]An article on why the FBI recommendations “make no sense”[/li][/ul]
[ul]
[li]A video of Trump declaring that the system is rigged, posted as presumed fact from an authoritative source[/li][/ul]
Yeah, the Colbert Report hasn’t had a single negative thing to say about Obama in the last year and a half. If that doesn’t prove bias, then what does?
Note: I’m practicing thinking like Fox.
When CBS news radio broadcast the evening report, headlining with the story that the FBI won’t prosecute Clinton, their opener was an extensive quote from Donald Trump, blasting the decision and blasting Clinton.
But, no, of course, no mainstream news report ever says anything bad about Democrats. Because ignorance.
They’re just doing that to guard themselves against accusations of bias. They don’t really believe it.
Am I doing it right?
Right, and what you have there is an example of what I’ve often said – that the primary motivation of most media isn’t to promote left or right political causes, but to maximize profit by attracting audience share, which often means sensationalizing the news as in that example. Fox News was established do both – to be a PR arm of the Republican party and engage in irresponsible tabloid journalism and at the same time, a big money-maker because there are a lot of idiots around who are thrilled to have a “news” channel in the tabloid tradition that tells them all the things they want to hear, but that they don’t hear from real news channels because they aren’t true – like the dozens or hundreds of examples already cited here.
FOX News.
It’s a Joke. It’s a comedy send-up with mannequins in Mall Clothes spouting hate and BS with such quick change overs from rants to smug smiles, it’s like they are choreographed by a rapidly cycling manic-depressive.
Also, I keep thinking about how their next story might be about “Robocop, the New Man in Old Detroit.”
Hah! Not sure when it went up, but one of the headlines on the Fox News front page is now “‘RIGGED’ SYSTEM? Trump slams Clinton after FBI recommends no charges,” complete with the all caps.
And here I thought I’d never feel sorry for Gretchen Carlson.
Her first mistake was assuming Doocy could identify “intelligent and insightful” under any circumstance. (Her second was assuming her job was to be a “journalist”; even FoxNews categorizes their show as “entertainment” rather than “news”. She’s a morning-show talking head at best.)
But I do feel bad for her - even a partisan hack actively engaged in peddling vast quantities of obvious bullshit to gullible rubes shouldn’t have to put up with workplace bullying and harassment.
So Fox News is a cesspool of corruption and misogyny and Roger Ailes is a complete douchebag? Who would ever have suspected such a thing?
To be fair, it’s pretty bad if you have to have sex with Gretchen Carlson, too. She kinda looks like she’d be scolding you the whole time.
Some people pay extra for that.
Twenty dollars; same as in town.
All right. The Carlson information is really off topic and going south in a hurry.
Stick to the actual topic of the thread.

I wasn’t a bit surprised to see this headline on the Fox News front page:
“Obama administration to blame for coup attempt in Turkey?”
Yeah, the question mark is what makes this acceptable in their eyes. They’re just asking. They do this a lot.
That’s a “Cavuto mark”, according to Jon Stewart. Neil Cavuto is just asking questions, you know?
