So what big time news organization will hire him now?
Susan Estrich, famous liberal, is now Ailes’s mouthpiece? Ooh, the money must be ENORMOUS!
The guy is beyond ancient and will get a big settlement in addition to the $21 million or so a year that he’s been making all this time. I don’t think he’ll be looking for work. It may not be appealing to be known as a sexual predator, but I doubt he cares about that, either. And Fox will likely give him a chance to slither away in the guise of voluntary retirement.
The New York Times reports allegations of a pervasive culture of sexual harassment at Fox News. Multiple women allege being subject to harassment, being pressure to have sexual relationships with managers, and being demoted or fired if they declined or reported the problems. The NYT article claims that Ailes was far from the only executive who engaged in the behavior.
Well there’s a news flash for ya. Sexism in the entertainment industry.
Are you all saying that ABC, NBC, CBS and the rest of the cable pack are snow white in this regard ? Didn’t Matt Lauer of NBC go thru this allegation a few weeks ago ?
So Ailes is called to the carpet for this, and gets whatever roasting here he deserves. However I hardly think Fox is the only one in the industry that has this behavior.
Got any actionable proof of this ? Or is it just something “everybody knows” ?
A lot fewer stunning blondes at the other networks.
Sexism in the entertainment Industry (IMHO TV news a subset of that) and you want some cites for that ??? Oh please.
I am not carrying water for you here. Google is your friend use it.
and on that I agree with you … So stunning you say?
That’s not how it works here. You make an allegation, you bring a cite. Otherwise nobody will take you seriously. You can consider your contribution to this thread, such as it is, disregarded without any forthcoming corroboration. And telling everyone to google it? Weak sauce.
And the topic is not “sexism” its actual sexual harassment, with real allegations by many different women. Let’s go ahead and leave those goalposts where they are.
Are you suggesting, then, that there is an equivalence between Fox News and the other networks? If so, then ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, and CNN must all be run by an utterly unscrupulous many-jowled sexual predator who used to work as a vicious campaign strategist for one of the major political parties, who is inextricably associated with said party, and who is so single-mindedly partisan that in between harassing and threatening the female staff and demanding sexual favors, he also sends out daily morning memos dictating the political emphasis and slant that the day’s news stories must take.
Got any evidence of this happening at all those other networks?
And incidentally, “sexism” and sexual predation are not the same thing.
I’m sure you can direct up to clips of on the air sexism on MSNBC and CNN, the kind we’ve seen at Fox. That isn’t quite harassment, but does show what kind of atmosphere they had.
“I GOT NOTHING, okay ?!”
Donald Trump has requested that Russia hack into Hillary Clinton’s email. This is the top story at every news site right now. It is not anywhere on fox new’s website.
Wow. I wouldn’t have believed it if you hadn’t told me. Top story at Fox currently is dropping of charges in the Freddie Gray case. Of course any reasonable person would think that’s a bigger story than a presidential candidate recruiting Russian spies to hack his political opponent.
It is a fact that Fox has the Freddie Gray case on its site at the moment and not the Trump-Russian thing. On that I agree.
However it is your opinion of which one is more important than the other. You can disagree on that, however it is entirely your opinion.
Shared by me.
Can you make the case why you consider it reversed? Because I can make the case why it’s not.
But what happened to “We report, you decide?” If they don’t report, how can you decide?
And if you don’t think that a presidential candidate recruiting Russian hackers to undermine his opponent is newsworthy… hell, even buried below the fold… well, that’s an opinion, but it’s clearly not worth much.
As of 3:12 EST it is in fact on the Fox website, it’s one of the video stories on the right side of the page.
I had to disable NoScript to see that section.
