Is Fox News really all that bad?

“Hope you enjoyed that fancy burger, Mr. President.”

Obviously not a ‘man of the people’ like Trump. Who only orders the best cuts of beef, well done and with lots of ketchup.

I sometimes look at the Fox News website to see how the right is portraying the big news of the day. Yesterday had some fairly large news items, the biggest being the Senate unveiling Trumpcare 3.0. There was also that bit about Trump saying “nah, I don’t really have tapes - all bluster and lies from me.”

So, with those things making the news, take a look at the screenshot of Fox News:

That is a 100% legit screenshot. I can understand them not wanting to highlight yet more lies from the grand poobah but nothing about Trumpcare???

“James Comey better hope that there are no “tapes” of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!”

Trump didn’t say he HAS tapes, he was obviously saying that if there WERE tapes, they would vindicate Trump. So, that one doesn’t count as a lie.

Now excuse me while I go take a shower.

It is now 12 hours since I took that first screenshot of Fox News and there still isn’t a mention of the senate’s Turmpcare 3.0 in their main news articles:

Apparently, healthcare doesn’t rank as high as Depp’s shocking news. Fox News is becoming People magazine.

Or, they are sticking their fingers in their ears and saying “LALALALALA - I can’t hear you”.

Right now the front page of WaPo, the NYT, and the LA Times all have Trump Jr. attending a meeting specifically to collude with Russia as their top story. Fox has the Marine plane crash, followed by Alexa calling 911, US Soldier giving help to ISIS, and Johnny Depp in legal trouble. The only mention on the page is “Lawyer for Donald Trump Jr. says NY Times report ‘much ago about nothing.’”

It was a deliberate attempt at deception on Trump’s part -a bluff. Virtually all of the in-person conversations appear to have taken place within the White House, where Trump presumably knows if there are recording equipment are not and whether, if there were some, they were actually recording. The location of only one conversation - the dinner in which Trump requested an oath of personal loyalty - is unknown since it isn’t clear whether this was in a White House dining area or some cordoned off portion of a restaurant.

If Comey secretly recorded any conversations himself between him and the president and they didn’t support his version of events, there wouldn’t be any reason to believe he would keep those recording around. So, it would only make sense to threaten someone with recorded conversations if the party making the threat had possession or at least access to the recordings. Trump either knew or would be able to easily and quickly find out whether any particular conversations were recorded.

"This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump - helped along by Aras and Emin.

What do you think is the best way to handle this information and would you be able to speak to Emin about it directly?

I can also send this info to your father via Rhona, but it is ultra sensitive so wanted to send to you first."

Foxnews left out the non bolded stuff. They yadda yadda yaddaed collusion with the Russians.

Fear not - it got slightly better.

I did say slightly. There’s the hard-hitting journalism we’ve come to expect from Sean Hannity!

Subtle, Foxnews, very subtle.

(Their chyron identifies Jared “Kushner” as Jared “Kosher”)

Fox News spends all day lying and smearing Comey in order to distract from Trump/Russia. Issues a 5 second apology for it.

EXCLUSIVE: Fox News Caught Censoring Damaging Comments on Trump Jr.

Jesus. Is it just me, or is he starting to look like Varga from latest season of Fargo?

He always reminded me ofDorian Gray from the 1945 movie

Brit Hume from Fox News:

“Obamacare was designed to help the poorest and sickest citizens out there. However, as noble as that sounds, the consequence of such logic is the fact that it neglects the core ethic values that were embedded in the Constitution and that comprise the basic philosophy of this country: spend your life working hard, playing hard and not burdening others with your problems. Make yourself capable of anything and all shall be given to you. That means that every American’s basic responsibility is to take care of themselves first, which is to say, make sure they don’t get sick and fall into the care of others. If that happens, you’ve pretty much lost the right to call yourself an American, as cruel as that sounds.”

WTF? How can anyone say something like that with a straight face? No one with any brains can actually believe that any and all sickness is the fault of the sick person.

Does Hume have no family or friends who’ve fallen sick through no fault of their own? Does he know no one who has a child with birth defects? Does he know no one who’s been injured in an accident they didn’t cause?

The man is either delusional, or he’s willing to spout any kind of evil bullshit if you pay him enough.

Real americans don’t get sick.

Whoops My apologies. The site I used with the Brit Hume quote above is a satire site. Fake news. I humbly apologize.

Poe’s Law.

Dammit. I should know better than to respond to something without checking the source.

Fox decided to have Mark Furhman, the cop convicted of perjury during OJ’s murder trial, to do commentary during OJ’s parole hearing.
