Fuhrman’s presence strikes me as just adding another element of absurdity to what is already pretty damn absurd.
If people like this end up being in charge of the United States long term, I quite seriously want Canada to develop an arsenal of nuclear weapons with which to protect itself.
Something along those lines came up in a “what if?” thread about an American invasion of Canada. I have to figure that by the time the U.S. reached the point of trying it, they were pretty much on the verge of internal collapse anyway.
That wouldn’t be very comforting, I admit - they can destroy large parts of Canada in their death-throes - but at least there’d be a kind of avengement.
What Constitution is this guy reading? I thought conservatives were textualists, but he sure seems to be reading a whole lot of prenumbras into that thing.
There’s not even something remotely close to that in there.
Already revealed to be fake story, just a few posts up.
What about the part that says, ‘We the People, in order to… promote the general welfare…’? Doesn’t that clearly state that the United States was formed to make people fend for themselves?
Fox And Friends goes after the New York Times for a story they published which allegedly foiled a US attack on Al-Bagdhadi.
Only problem: all of the info that NYTimes story drew on was released to the public three weeks before the story ran.
Wellllll…
This is one of those way-too-long-to-read-from-the-beginning type threads. I did a cursory look at a page or two back for ninja avoidance, (and yeah I know it’s been mentioned recently in other threads - phone Raymond Burr about it) so, I’ll just mention:
…Move over Fox - there’s a new kid in town (like I don’t want to drop any hints or anything), but hey…Fox…there’s this Johnny-come-lately, and you might end up getting side-winded out of the situation…Who knows, maybe you might find yourself, even…competing with them…Possibly…skewing the odd story…a little…leftward, even, just to get at them, somehow…
This just in: Trump signs new executive order limiting ellipses to no more than three dots; deploys jack-booted thugs to deal with offenders.
Fox Headline News on satellite radio isn’t bad on the morning drive to work. No self-congratulatory talking head panels with idjits yapping at each other and fawning over equally smug guests (which CNN also features, though in a mildly less objectionable fashion).
And I can tolerate Fox Business on radio with Maria Bartiromo for short stretches.
What´s happening on Wall St.
What´s happening at the Stock Exchange
I want to know
What´s happening on Squawk Box
What´s happening with my stocks
I want to know
I watch you on the TV every single day
Those eyes make everything okay
I watch her every day
I watch her every night
She´s really outta sight

- The Ramones
As I understand it, the Ramones were primarily invested in low interest/high security bonds. And, of course, pharmaceuticals.
The accursed thing is on the main screen at my gym (nobody sits there and watches it tho), easily seen from my stationary bike.
I haven’t seen a legitimate mainstream product advertised on the thing in Lord knows how long. It’s all gold/silver comeons or redo-your-mortgage scams or ED pills something else of equally doubtful validity, never see Cadillac or Coke or Verizon ads or anything.
Hmm, that’s actually an interesting observation, worthy of analysis.
Nit Pick - that was actually Joey’s solo record, released just before he died. As far as I know, no other Ramones were involved.
The extra periods in some of those ellipses indicate extra churning brain-time involved for formulating tactful, cogent, motivating, perspicacious speculations (or as I like to call them - “comfort bombs”) for a curious, credulous, malleable, at-times-teeming bunch of striving seekers of the OM.
And I think преЦАРдент Trump kinda, just… < (!!!oneoneone) (ok that means I’m thinking, like, SHITLOADS, there) got up and walked away from his desk, forgetting to sign the EO.:smack:
Well, if this turns out to be accurate, then I think that the answer to the thread is an unequivocal “yes”.
As much as I love Folkenflik, I found the NPR story a little hard to follow. The Washington Post has a helpful timeline up here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/politics/wp/2017/08/01/a-timeline-of-the-explosive-lawsuit-alleging-a-white-house-link-in-the-seth-rich-conspiracy/?utm_term=.d24cb78c2d7a
If the allegations turn out to be true (there are text messages, voicemails, and call recordings to back them up!) this is pretty ugly. Donald Trump calls up Fox news and gets them to insert quotes into a completely fabricated story to make sure it includes the message he wants included. Not that it’s terribly surprising, but seeing such a solid paper trial is an unexpected twist.
It’s interesting to see the rough parallels between how they attempted to use Wheeler as a “convenient idiot” cutout and the attempt to use Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein to get rid of Comey.
Eric Bolling, Foxnews host who was particularly incensed by Anthony Weiner, is in trouble for sending dick picks to female colleagues.
No he isn’t. He might have done so, but this isn’t trouble for Fox people. What’s trouble for Fox people is costing Fox advertising dollars.
