But has anyone else had the suspicion that he’s not going to finish his term? My intuition doesn’t reveal the mechanism by which he’ll exit the office, just that it’s a voluntary departure. If anyone knows a reason that I feel this, I’d be glad to hear it.

I can’t imagine this happening, unless he dies. He can always just defer more and take even more “working” vacations.

As long as he’s physically capable of finishing it out, he will. It would look absolutely AWFUL if he quit. It’d make Jeb look bad by association and it would be a nasty black eye for the rest of the GOP. Short of a stroke, heart attack or what-have-you, he’ll finish. He’s got no choice and he’s got ol’ Barb’s hand so far up his puppety little ass that he ain’t going nowhere.

Second that. I can’t imagine him resigning - it would be the ultimate admission that he wasn’t up to the job, something he’s adamantly refused to concede for 4+ years now.
