According to this “editorial” the Bush Administration has been hiding the ball on economic information. Economics is only one of a vast number of topics I only know enough about to be wrong most of the time. On top of what is thought in some quarters to be pretty grevious misrepresentations on the need to go to war with Iraq, this stuff, if true and substantial, looks pretty damning.
Does anybody out there know anything about this?
Interesting, but hardly surprising, giving the other cover-ups going on. I’m not sure why some of the Bush apologists haven’t responded to this post but I’ll bump it back to page 1 and give them another chance.

There’s also the question of the unemployment rate – some experts claim the real unemployment numbers are roughly twice what the Bushies claim (i.e. 12% rather than 6%). ISTR something about the definition of “unemployed” being changed to make the numbers look better.
One of CNN’s business shows (Lou Dobbs Moneyline?) discussed this a few days ago; if it was Dobbs’ show, that would be significant as he’s been a reliable supporter of the administration. When your supporters start questioning your truthfulness, you’ve got a problem.
