Yes, yes! I remember the hoopla on 11-11-11, which was extra-special because of the double-digit thing.
Also, in China a lot of people use the lunar calendar for a lot of things or use both the lunar and western calendar, but in my 3 years of backpacking around the backwoods of China in the 1980’s, everyone knew what year it was. it is simply inconcieveable to me that someone in China wouldn’t at least get the right century (gregorian that is).
