Since I’ve been very particular about whom I have sex with, and each one has played some major role in my life or in forming my personality, I think it would be significant to mention them should my life ever prove of interest to anyone long aftter I am dead and gone and can’t cause my children embarassment. I guess I should be proud that the number of people mentioned (thus far) would probably stun my friends and children but still be far, far below the numbers some posters have mentioned in other threads. I like shocking my kids these days!
No. It’s very peripheral. And then again only because it was a public scandal. Wilde was notable for his work as a writer and a playwright. There are lots of gay people, lots of people whose lives are destroyed by going to prison and lots of gay people whose lives were destroyed by being sent to prison. Those things on their own do not make it noteworthy.
