It’s not just you. I’ve never been able to sleep through the night without peeing at least once or twice and definitely several times before I go to bed. So not only can’t I get to sleep if I need to pee, even a little, I can’t even stay asleep. I’m 54 (and not a man, so no worries about prostate issues :D).
The same with me. Even if I just went 15 minutes before, I also have to go again right before going to bed (even if I really don’t have to go). It’s all in my head.
Then once I’m sleeping I could go 12 hours without getting up to pee.

I have to empty everything before bed. What’s weird is it’s partly psychological - I want to make the most of my horizontal time and would prefer not to waste it waking up to pee. I’m a 38 year old female.
If I don’t drink much water, I have to get up to pee as soon as I lay down; drives me nuts. If I drink at least a half-gallon (over the course of the day), I fall asleep easy and sleep through the night. I can’t hit the snooze button though - I have to get up as soon as I wake up.
Guy here, Flomax works pretty well. This problem used to drive me bonkers.
Yeah, something about sleeping and having a cat on my lap makes me want to pee really bad.
I’ve had dreams where I’m peeing – but I’ve never wet the bed. I just woke up having to go really bad.
Yep. And the worst part is you’re really warm and cozy, but you have to pee soooo bad. That sucks. I can’t sleep if I have to pee.
I have a combo ofmalacandra and** mama zappa**. I dream that there are weird and/or disgusting problems with any bathroom I try to use OR I pee and pee but nothing ever makes me not gab be to go.
I get a different version. I’m mostly over pee shyness, but not when I sleep. I have a recurring dream of a giant bathroom that has several large rooms, is unisex, and has urinals and stalls along the wall. Every time I pick a urinal, someone comes right next to me, breaking male protocol. Every stall has noisy people on either side. Yes, it’s a nightmare.
