Is it just me, or does there seem to be less "Rodham?"

It seems like “Hillary Rodham Clinton” was more commonly used prior to her campaign for the presidency. Now it seems to be “Hillary Clinton.”

I can’t say if the “Rhodam Clinton,” when I did hear it used more often, was because it was used more by her detractors; the unbiased media; or herself; or the same for simply “Clinton,” for whatever reasons these various parties may have had.

I’m ignorant.

Perhaps her campaign realizes that her husband is more of an asset than her independence by using her maiden name.

Of course, there is always the chance it may morph into, “Ladies and Gentlemen. Please welcome the former First Lady of President Bill Clinton and friend to former Vice-President and now Nobel Peace Prize recipient Al Gore, Senator Hillary Clinton …!”

The Rodham was conspicuously absent during Mr. Bill’s first campaign as well.

Whatever works, I say…
